A full-time contract opportunity is available for a qualified Special Education Teacher with a passion for nurturing diverse learners. You’ll be joining a dynamic educational community near Dallas, TX, working closely with young students in dedicated classroom settings. This is an on-site position that runs from August 11, 2026, through May 28, 2027, offering 37.5 hours each week in a collaborative school environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) certificate
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in an elementary educational setting
- Strong skill set in differentiated instruction and classroom management
- Genuine commitment to supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Must complete TEA fingerprint background check prior to start if not already cleared within a Texas public school district
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and tailored interventions to students in life skills, autism support, or behavior-focused classrooms
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) collaboratively with staff and families
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student success and participation
- Maintain regular communication with parents, caregivers, and professional staff
- Monitor and document student progress; adapt strategies as needed for optimal growth
- Participate in faculty meetings, trainings, and IEP review sessions
