Step into an impactful leadership role supporting middle school students and families for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year as an Evaluation Team Leader (ETL)! This contract opportunity is tailored for dedicated special education professionals who want to guide teams, ensure IEP compliance, and drive positive outcomes within a multicultural school community.

You’ll facilitate the entire special education process, serve as a key liaison for families and educators, and be responsible for preparing and finalizing all Individualized Education Plans for your assigned caseload. This role is fully onsite during regular school hours (generally 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM), running August 2026 through June 2027.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of M.G.L. 71B and 603 CMR 28.00 Special Education Regulations, ensuring compliance at every step.
  • Collaborating with families, principals, staff, and agencies to support effective specialized services.
  • Leading the evaluation process, professional development, and serving as a resource on special education needs for assigned students in grades 6–8.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation, finalizing IEPs, and responding to regulatory directives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Massachusetts certification as a Teacher for Students with Moderate Disabilities, or other DESE teaching/counseling certification.
  • Three years of successful experience in public schools.
  • Background in special education, guidance, counseling, or psychology.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working with students and adults from diverse backgrounds.
  • Empathy and commitment to serving students with special needs.

Requirements include: active MA license (upload/screenshot), passing drug screening, fingerprinting, and background/CORI check.
