Grind Machinist - $24-$30/hr DOE plus shift differential!

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Grind Machinist for our manufacturing client to start immediately at $24-$30/hr DOE plus shift differential! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!

Responsibilities:

The primary objective of this role is to support the department in meeting its operational goals and performance targets. This includes ensuring the safe and efficient operation of NC/CNC grinding equipment to meet customer requirements for quality and on-time delivery. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

• Operate surface and creep feed grinding machines, along with other equipment as needed, to produce accurate parts in accordance with process specifications. This may involve running multiple machines simultaneously.
• Set up assigned equipment correctly and efficiently to support production requirements.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), following documented procedures.
• Record production data and communicate relevant information using designated software systems.
• Perform routine operator-level maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine or tooling issues as they arise.
• Complete deburring and rework on in-process parts when necessary.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.
• Follow all established safety guidelines and protocols.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Schedule/Shift Details: Mon-Thurs, 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM

• Overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• At least one year of relevant experience operating cylindrical, surface, or creep feed grinding equipment in a production environment.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, gauges (such as pin, thread, indicator, and height), optical comparators, and CMM equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Windows and standard office software.
• Ability to perform fundamental mathematical calculations.
• Eligibility to handle controlled materials and data in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Visual capability meeting applicable industry standards.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to stand for the majority of the work shift (approximately 95%).
• Regular movement involving reaching, bending, twisting, and grasping to handle tools, materials, and equipment.
