Fiber Ops Supervisor

What You'll Do
As a Fiber Ops Supervisor, you’ll split your time between field and operations duties, leading from the front and setting the standard for excellence
- Supervise and support broadband technicians in installation and service fulfillment
- Ride along in the field to observe, coach, and develop technical and customer service skills
- Interview, train, mentor, and evaluate technicians to build a strong team culture
- Foster a performance-driven, safety-focused work environment
- Ensure quality installations and repairs meet company and customer standards
- Oversee daily scheduling and completion of assigned work
- Monitor KPIs and technician performance metrics; close performance gaps
- Manage contract labor and supervise contracted installers
- Resolve complex technical and customer issues
- Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures
- Conduct vehicle, tool, and material inspections
- Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service aligned with company values
Required Qualifications
- Previous lead or supervisory experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge and experience of broadband technology, installation methods, and electronics
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Customer service and sales experience is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (accommodations available up to 50 lbs) and feel comfortable climbing ladders (up to 28 ft), poles, and working at heights
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Frequent travel between job sites
Work Environment
This role combines office responsibilities, field supervision, and hands-on technical support. You’ll work outdoors in varying weather conditions and be active throughout the day: climbing, walking, inspecting, and leading from the front. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required to support operations, training, or emergency response.
