Job Description:
Provide engineering support for capital project execution at the Fort St. Vrain power plant.
Responsibilities include design reviews, maintaining design basis accountability, technical oversight for capital projects, supporting new combustion turbine projects (Units 7 & 8), reviewing technical questions, and ensuring engineering standards are met.
Work on capital execution projects, perform design reviews, provide technical feedback, support project scoping activities, review P&IDs, and collaborate with operations, project managers, and contractors on technical issues throughout project lifecycles.

3 to 4 project managers/project personnel
Operations management team (approximately 3 managers)
Site crafts personnel
Major Projects team
External partners including Jacobs, Burns & McDonnell, and QI/Quit-related project teams supporting Units 7 & 8.
Collaborative environment requiring interaction with operations, project managers, and contractors, while also functioning as an independent contributor responsible for driving engineering reviews and project support activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (typically Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred)
Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience
Required awareness of confined spaces, lockout/tagout procedures, and other plant safety requirements.
Combined cycle power plant experience
Fossil power plant/power generation experience
Technical design reviews
P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) review experience
Cross-functional collaboration
Familiarity with simple-cycle combustion turbine projects preferred

Communication skills across cross-functional teams
Power plant, plant engineering, reliability engineering, or industrial facility experience
Candidates should already have familiarity with equipment and plant operations due to limited ramp-up time available.
