Location: Indianapolis, IN | Payrate: $37.91/hour | Schedule: 1st shift
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading HVAC manufacturing company to hire an experienced Production Workers Supervisor who is passionate about developing people, driving operational excellence, and leading high-performing teams.
In this leadership role, you'll oversee a team of 60–80 production employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. You'll play a key role in coaching employees, improving production performance, and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
As a Production Workers Supervisor, you'll lead daily production activities while empowering your team to achieve operational goals and deliver exceptional results.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 60–80 production employees through effective training, communication, performance management, and employee development.
Manage staffing, resource allocation, and workflow within a production cell to ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime, improve quality, minimize scrap, and increase labor efficiency.
Successfully implement engineering and product changes while minimizing disruptions to production.
Promote a culture where safety comes first by modeling and enforcing environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Assign work based on production priorities while ensuring employees have the tools, training, and support needed to perform safely.
Monitor work order progress to ensure products are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Maintain accurate employee timecards, attendance records, and overtime reporting.
Foster positive working relationships with union representatives while ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Partner with manufacturing, engineering, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to support production goals and continuous operational improvements.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing leadership experience.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop production teams.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing production schedules, staffing, and daily operational priorities.
Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory experience in a union manufacturing environment.
Experience leading teams of 50+ employees in a high-volume manufacturing operation.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with manufacturing metrics, labor efficiency, quality systems, and production reporting.
Experience implementing engineering or product changes within a manufacturing environment.

Pay Details: $37.91 per hour
