Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join its growing rehabilitation team in Lamar, Colorado. PTA’s assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Patient care is provided as in-patient, outpatient and home health settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, consult, and treat patients across outpatient, inpatient, and home health environments.
- Develop and progress individualized treatment plans.
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports.
- Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Treat pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Support patients in achieving prior level of function or maximum medical improvement.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of and have a certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Must be currently credentialed by Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board. Must have verification card of current instruction in BLS.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred. Bi-lingual capabilities helpful
Hours
- General work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Will be placed in a weekend rotation.
- May need to work additional hours as the need arises. Work in a state of the art, newly built Rehabilitation Gymnasium, clean, well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned area. Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells and infectious diseases possible.
