Job Description
Must Haves:
• Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training required.
• 0-2 years of working experience
• Basic knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the democratic political process.
Job Summary:
Insight Global is looking for a Paralegal on behalf of a client to support attorneys and legal teams with document preparation, legal research, case management, and administrative responsibilities. This individual will assist in drafting and processing legal documents such as complaints, motions, subpoenas, and summonses, gather and organize case-related records and evidence, attend client meetings, hearings, and depositions to take notes, and maintain legal files and documentation while ensuring materials are properly prepared for court submissions.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare correspondence and legal papers such as summonses, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas under the supervision of an attorney or a paralegal.
• Review legal journals and assist with legal research.
• May assist new lawyers how to prepare documents for submission to the courts.
• Assist attorneys in collecting information such as employment, medical, and other records.
• Attend legal meetings, such as client interviews, hearings, or depositions, and take notes.
• Organize and maintain law libraries, documents, and case files.
• Prepare and process legal documents and papers, such as summonses, subpoenas, complaints, appeals, motions, and pretrial agreements.
Compensation: $23-28/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
