Taking on a 5th grade caseload of around 12 students, you’ll support learners with reading, math, and executive functioning needs. This role encourages collaboration with an energetic grade-level team, exposing you to a variety of teaching styles and school-based practices. You’ll gain invaluable experience in small-group interventions, enriching your resume with sought-after skills, and expanding your professional network—all while making a direct impact where it’s needed most.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Experience with upper elementary students (grades 4–6 preferred)
- Background in supporting reading, math, and executive functioning challenges
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction for approximately 12 fifth-grade students with diverse learning needs
- Deliver small-group interventions in reading, math, and executive functioning
- Work closely alongside general education teachers to foster student success
- Maintain accurate records, develop IEP goals, and communicate regularly with families
- School hours are 7:55 a.m. – 3:25 p.m., with services taking place between 8:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m., starting 8/31 and continuing through 12/23
