Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student growth and communication skills in a dynamic school environment near Keller, TX. This full-time, onsite position runs from August 11th, 2026 through May 25th, 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to approximately 4:30 pm. With a caseload of 54 direct therapy students and 14 students receiving consultative support, you'll make a significant impact while working collaboratively with school staff and families.
What you bring:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience supporting students in school-based settings
- Confidence in supervising and mentoring Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Strong understanding of developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based therapy practices
Your contributions:
- Supervise and guide SLPAs to deliver cohesive, high-quality services
- Plan and lead appropriate individual and small group therapy sessions tailored to IEP speech and language goals
- Conduct ongoing student assessments and provide timely documentation regarding progress
- Collaborate with other professionals and families, ensuring the therapy approach is holistic and student-focused
- Determine when students are ready to discontinue therapy, facilitating a seamless transition
