This full-time contract role involves delivering essential speech and language services within an elementary setting, working closely with faculty, families, and students to create a positive learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license is required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience in a school-based or educational setting, particularly with elementary-aged students
  • Proficient in conducting speech/language evaluations and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Able to work exclusively on-site and be present full-time (40 hours/week); part-time or SLPAs are not considered

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students requiring speech/language intervention
  • Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations for elementary-aged students
  • Develop, track, and update IEP goals in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
  • Partner with special education staff, general teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate student success and address communication needs
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation for student progress and meet regulatory requirements
