Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist at a state-of-the-art Autism Center in a vibrant, beautiful facility. This full-time role places you at a newly opened center serving K-8th grade students in the North Wildwood area. You’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated team, including two on-site BCBAs, to provide transformative support and counseling services, directly impacting the lives of young learners.
What you bring:
- Active School Psychologist licensure in Florida
- Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents, especially in educational or autism-focused settings
- Strong counseling skills with the ability to foster positive and trusting relationships with students
- Comfortable working with K-8th grade population within small classroom environments (only 6 students per class)
- Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with school staff, families, and outside agencies
- Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and compliance with educational regulations
In this role, you will:
- Provide direct counseling services to students as an integral part of their individualized education plans
- Conduct psychological, academic, and behavioral assessments to inform intervention strategies
- Support a population with mild to moderate needs—not super severe or profound
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administration, BCBAs, and related service professionals to develop and implement effective interventions
- Contribute to a positive, supportive school climate built on expertise, compassion, and dedication
- Maintain clear documentation and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings
