Key Qualifications:

  • Current Louisiana Special Education Educator Certificate (required)
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in resource settings, strongly preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Dedication to creating a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver resource support to elementary students, assisting with individualized academic plans and strategies
  • Develop, implement, and assess IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff
  • Track and report student progress, adapting methods to ensure academic growth
  • Maintain organized educational records and uphold confidentiality
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to promote student success
