Key Qualifications:
- Current Louisiana Special Education Educator Certificate (required)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in resource settings, strongly preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Dedication to creating a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver resource support to elementary students, assisting with individualized academic plans and strategies
- Develop, implement, and assess IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff
- Track and report student progress, adapting methods to ensure academic growth
- Maintain organized educational records and uphold confidentiality
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to promote student success
