Key Qualifications:
- Experience in school-based settings is essential
- High school diploma required
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to obtain/complete Pennsylvania clearances
- Proven references and reliable transportation
- Comfortable assisting with toileting/diapering and providing care for SPED and behaviorally challenged students
- Skilled in managing behavioral challenges, supporting elopement issues, and responding to changing student needs
- Willingness to work in an urban K-12 setting with a variety of student needs
Responsibilities:
- Offer attentive 1:1 student support, fostering academic and social growth
- Collaborate with educators to implement behavior management and provide hands-on assistance
- Adapt to diverse and changing environments to meet individual student needs
- Support students dealing with elopement and implement appropriate safety measures
- Assist students with personal care, as needed
- Maintain professional communication with staff and families
- Uphold compliance with district protocols and documentation
