Special Education Teacher - Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Bring your expertise in special education to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. An engaging contract opportunity is available for skilled Special Education Teachers to work full-time for the upcoming school year. This role starts August 24, 2026, and extends through June 7, 2027, supporting students in a single building setting.

Two classrooms are in need of your guidance:

• A classroom serving students with multiple disabilities, including autism (non-verbal), physical impairments, and more, with 9-12 students.
• A classroom focused on emotional disabilities, addressing behavioral intervention plans, social-emotional instruction, and crisis intervention, serving 10-15 students.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state Special Education Teacher license (must be presented for consideration)
• Experience teaching students with multiple and/or emotional disabilities preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and behavioral intervention strategies
• Comfort with differentiation, adaptive communication, and inclusive instructional practices
• Commitment to building positive, supportive relationships with students
• Collaborative spirit for working alongside support staff, therapists, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to each student’s needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with a multidisciplinary team
• Monitor, document, and communicate student progress
• Provide classroom management and crisis intervention as appropriate
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
