Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students across Pre K-12 as a dedicated Physical Therapist in a vibrant Florida school district. This full-time, contract role offers a meaningful chance to make a difference for students’ physical development and success.
You’ll travel between multiple school sites, delivering high-quality therapy services designed to meet a diverse range of needs and ages. Every day brings the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals in a dynamic educational setting.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Active Physical Therapist license through the FL Department of Health
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage an itinerant schedule
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly valued, though not required
- The ability to build rapport with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
- Comfort working across a multi-site caseload, Pre K-12
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in line with student IEPs and school goals
- Providing direct therapy, progress monitoring, and meaningful feedback to support students’ growth
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
- Keeping accurate records and complying with all special education documentation requirements
Please note, this is an on-site only role. All credentialing requirements—including Florida fingerprinting and JLA badge approval—must be met before the start date.
This contract begins August 11, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027, with up to 37.5 hours each week offered.
