HR & Payroll Manager (UKG) - Queens, NY

LHH is partnering with a respected nonprofit organization in Queens to identify an experienced HR & Payroll Manager. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for a professional who enjoys balancing payroll administration with employee support and HR operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with UKG payroll systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and administer end-to-end payroll processing using UKG, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees.
  • Review payroll data, validate earnings and deductions, and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submission.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc payroll reports for leadership, finance, and regulatory compliance purposes.
  • Support payroll tax filings, audits, and government reporting requirements.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws.
  • Serve as a resource to employees regarding payroll, timekeeping, and benefit-related questions.
  • Assist management with employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, performance discussions, and policy interpretation.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to support ongoing HR initiatives and day-to-day administrative functions.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience processing payroll and creating reports within the UKG platform.
  • At least two years of payroll administration and human resources experience.
  • Working knowledge of payroll regulations, employment practices, and tax compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Compensation & Work Environment
  • Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Full-time position.
  • 100% onsite in Queens, New York.
