Job Description

We are staffing for a Production Supervisor for 2nd Shift. 3 PM to 11 PM. Temporary role to fill in for someone that will be out. Should be around 3-4 months. Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift on a temporary basis to oversee manufacturing operations within a dynamic production environment. This role is vital in ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing practices. Your leadership will directly impact the productivity and safety of our manufacturing team, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the 2nd shift, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Manage and motivate assembly line teams, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Interpret manufacturing documents, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate execution of tasks. Utilize measuring instruments and hand tools to verify product specifications and maintain quality control. Operate and manage equipment such as forklifts and power tools safely and effectively within the manufacturing facility. Implement process improvements based on lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Conduct heavy lifting as required while maintaining proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety. Enforce safety standards in production areas through regular inspections and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain accurate production documentation, including logs, reports, and inventory records. Collaborate with management to identify training needs and support team development initiatives. Skills Proven experience with factory operations, manufacturing management, or supervision within a production environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and utilize measuring instruments. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and warehouse equipment safely. Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as assembly line operations, process improvement strategies, and lean manufacturing principles. Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed work instructions. Excellent mechanical assembly skills coupled with manual handling expertise for heavy lifting tasks. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and strict adherence to safety protocols. Experience managing or supervising production or assembly teams effectively. Technical proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment and interpreting technical data. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Ability to adapt quickly to process changes while maintaining high productivity levels.
