Preferred qualifications and background:

  • Active and current licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in school-based and/or home health settings
  • Strong understanding of pediatric interventions and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication skills for working closely with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student populations and learning environments
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a varied caseload

In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students, both in schools and, as needed, through home health interventions
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs
  • Collaborate with education professionals and families to support students’ learning, participation, and functional independence
  • Maintain thorough documentation and track students’ progress toward IEP or therapy goals
  • Offer guidance and training to staff and caregivers for classroom and at-home supports
  • Adapt strategies and interventions to best meet individual and educational requirements
