Job Description
Support students’ learning and growth as a paraprofessional in a contract role serving multiple special education resource areas for the 2026-2027 school year. This engagement is at a welcoming public academy near Elk River, MN, running from early September 2026 through early June 2027. You’ll work 32.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday), assisting in areas such as resource programming, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase, and the Ready Set LAUNCH centerbase. Desired Qualifications:
- Highly qualified as a paraprofessional by one of the following:
- Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam
- Completion of at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; pictures of degrees are not accepted)
- Previous paraprofessional or special education support experience preferred
- Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care as part of team support
- Ability to collaborate constructively with educators and students
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and a compassionate approach to diverse needs
Role Highlights:
- Provide classroom and individual assistance to students in resource, DCD, and/or LAUNCH programming
- Implement educational and behavior support strategies as directed

- Support students’ personal and academic growth, including willingness to assist with toileting
