LHH is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity in Columbus, OH. This position offers a blend of accounting, cost analysis, and operational finance responsibilities, making it an excellent fit for an accounting professional who enjoys working closely with business operations. The role provides exposure to month-end close activities, inventory management, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and analysis of manufacturing variances.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions while helping maintain accurate cost and operational data.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, collections support, and vendor communications.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by tracking plant-level expenses, labor costs, and key operational metrics.
- Partner with operations and leadership teams to support audits, resolve accounting issues, and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, distribution, or operational environment.
- Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory accounting, and general ledger maintenance.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, and data analysis functions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
