LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Services Manager for opportunity with our Oklahoma City, OK client to lead and oversee bookkeeping and accounting services for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of client financial records while managing a team of staff accountants. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level bookkeeping and accounting knowledge, advanced QuickBooks expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for multiple clients across a variety of industries.
  • Review and approve monthly bank, credit card, loan, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and other accounting systems.
  • Review and approve adjusting journal entries, accruals, and account reclassifications.
  • Perform detailed reviews of monthly and year-end financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission to clients, lenders, and the tax department.
  • Collaborate closely with tax professionals to ensure financial records are organized and prepared for annual tax filings.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting questions.
  • Analyze client financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Develop, document, and implement standardized accounting procedures and best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, train, and support accounting staff, providing ongoing coaching and quality control reviews.
  • Monitor team workloads, deadlines, and client deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Assist with client onboarding, account setup, and process transitions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably within a public accounting or multi-client environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, including reconciliations, month-end close, and journal entries.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and payroll-related accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Experience working with clients in multiple industries.
  • Strong leadership experience with training, mentoring, and developing staff.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • CPA certification or other accounting credential is a plus but not required.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
