JOB DESCRIPTION
An employer is looking for a Patient Access Representative/Scheduler within a call center environment in the Beverly Hills, CA area. This person will be responsible for handling about 50+ calls per day for multiple specialty offices across Southern California. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering phones, triaging patients, providing directions/parking instructions, contacting clinic facility to notify if a patient is running late, scheduling and rescheduling patients' appointments, verifying insurances, and assisting with referrals/follow up care. This position is on-site until fully trained and passing multiple assessments (typically around 2-4 months of working on-site - depending on performance) where it will then go remote.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-HS Diploma
-2+ years healthcare call center experience (with an average call time of 5 minutes or less on calls)
-Proficient with scheduling appointments through an EHR software
-2+ years experience scheduling patient appointments for multiple physicians in one practice
-40+ WPM typing speed
-Experience handling multiple phone lines
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Proficient in EPIC
-Experience verifying insurances
-Basic experience with Excel and standard workbooks
-Experience in either primary care, oncology, endocrinology, or hematology
PAY: $25/hour
Duration: 6+ month contract with potential for extension and conversion
Hours: M-F - must be available for 8hr shift between 7am-7pm PST once remote
2-4 months of on-site training in Los Angeles, CA 90048 then fully remote - M-F 8am-5pm
