Job Summary:
Insight Global is seeking a Supply Chain Planner for a growing, operations-focused client. This individual will play a critical role in supporting demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and purchasing coordination across multiple business units. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights. This is a great opportunity for an early-career supply chain professional to gain hands-on exposure to end-to-end planning, supplier coordination, and cross-functional operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management processes
  • Maintain visibility into customer demand, inventory levels, and incoming purchase orders
  • Track supplier deliveries, confirm timelines, and follow up on open POs
  • Identify and escalate shortages, delays, risks, or excess inventory
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance to align on demand and supply expectations
  • Assist with safety stock, reorder points, and replenishment recommendations
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding updates, delays, and order confirmations
  • Partner with warehouse teams on receiving and shipping priorities
  • Prepare weekly planning reports covering demand, supply, inventory, open POs, and risks
  • Maintain trackers for inventory, supplier updates, and planning priorities
  • Support continuous improvement in reporting, planning tools, and processes


Required Qualifications:

  • Supply chain degree, certification, or relevant education/training
  • 1–3+ years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, supply planning, purchasing, inventory, logistics, or operations
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (formulas, filters, lookups, basic data analysis)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn systems, processes, and operational workflows


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP, WMS, inventory, or purchasing systems
  • Experience working with domestic and/or international suppliers
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, inventory planning, lead times, MOQs, and shipping timelines
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, hardware, electronics, or product-based industries
  • Power BI, advanced Excel, or reporting/analytics experience
