Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Ashland, Ohio

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to provide essential vacation coverage in a busy retail pharmacy setting. Ideal candidates will have an active Ohio pharmacist license and recent retail pharmacy experience to support the team during several key coverage periods.

Location: Ashland, OH

Schedule:

• Pharmacy hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Pharmacist shift: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (no lunch closure; continuous coverage required)
• Vacation coverage dates:
  • August 10 – August 14
  • September 14 – September 18
  • November 25

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately entering over 200 prescriptions per day using PioneerRx software
• Verifying prescription data and product accuracy for more than 200 prescriptions daily
• Answering phones promptly and professionally
• Receiving and signing for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries
• Collaborating closely with a team of three full-time pharmacy technicians
• Ensuring compliance with pharmacy procedures and regulations

Qualifications:

• Current and active Ohio pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
• Proficiency using PioneerRx software or similar pharmacy systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of accuracy under daily workload demands
