Per Diem Pharmacist in Culpeper, VA

This Per Diem Pharmacist position supports a nursing home facility serving approximately 50 residents. The role primarily involves verifying prescriptions to ensure safe and effective medication use for residents. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, covering vacation dates on August 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11. The facility uses the Point Click Care computer system and currently has two pharmacy technicians on staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying and reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and compliance
• Collaborating with nursing and healthcare staff to ensure proper medication administration
• Maintaining clear and up-to-date medication records using the Point Click Care system
• Upholding all regulatory and facility standards for pharmaceutical care

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Virginia pharmacist license
• At least 1 year of recent pharmacy experience, preferably in institutional or long-term care settings
• Proficiency with computerized pharmacy systems, ideally Point Click Care
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
