Special Education Teacher | Hugo, Minnesota

Key Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in special education (must provide PDF with application)
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Previous experience with K-5 students in resource or special education settings
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment
• Ability to tailor instruction and accommodations to meet a range of student needs

Responsibilities:

• Direct instruction to K-5 students based on IEP specifications
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school staff
• Regularly communicate with families regarding student progress and support strategies
• Maintain up-to-date records and case notes in compliance with state and district requirements
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and IEP conferences
