Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction tailored to students’ individual academic and behavioral needs
Develop and implement IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior intervention strategies
Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress
Qualifications
Active North Carolina Special Education Teaching License
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
Previous experience in self-contained or specialized classroom settings preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Preferred Skills
Experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral disabilities, or significant learning needs
Ability to implement differentiated instruction and behavior support strategies
