Gen Ed Teacher - Media, PA

Step into an exciting opportunity supporting middle school students as a full-time general education math teacher for the upcoming academic year. Key Qualifications:

• Active PA teaching certification or license required
• Bachelor’s degree necessary to qualify for an emergency teaching permit
• Demonstrated proficiency teaching general education students; experience with a variety of classroom needs
• Previous experience in a school setting, ideally within urban environments
• Strong classroom management and positive behavior reinforcement skills
• Skilled at lesson planning aligned with state and district standards, utilizing assessment and differentiation
• Must complete all Pennsylvania clearance requirements
• Reliable transportation essential
• Must be available onsite, working 35 hours weekly between 8:30AM and 4:00PM; schedule flexibility cannot be accommodated

Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective math instruction to a general education middle school caseload, with occasional collaborative support for special education students
• Develop engaging, standards-based lesson plans that address diverse student learning styles and provide ongoing assessment
• Collaborate with SPED teachers and other instructional staff to promote student success and development
• Maintain a well-organized, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning
• Communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress and any relevant classroom updates
