Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Illinois SLP license and current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and implement therapy plans for students with diverse communication disorders
  • Skilled in IEP development, progress reporting, and multidisciplinary teamwork
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct student evaluations to determine communication strengths and areas of need
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals
  • Provide direct and indirect SLP services to students, both individually and in small groups
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop supports and accommodations
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of assessments, progress, and therapy sessions
  • Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for student success
  • Stay updated on best practices and current developments in speech-language pathology for school-aged populations
