This school-year position provides a blend of direct work within a school environment alongside the ability to make a difference in the lives of medically homebound students. Flexibility is a hallmark of this assignment, as you can select part-time or full-time options, working up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Your impact will span both dynamic school settings (building location to be determined) and individualized sessions for a small, fluctuating caseload of homebound students. This unique balance ensures your expertise supports a diverse group while maintaining meaningful relationships with students across varied backgrounds.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Active and valid Delaware Occupational Therapist license (required to be submitted with resume)
  • Experience in pediatric, school-based, or educational OT settings preferred
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy for students, including those with significant medical needs
  • Adaptability for serving both in-school and homebound populations as caseload demands shift
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Collaborative approach with families, educators, and other specialists

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver occupational therapy assessments and design student-centered intervention plans
  • Provide therapy sessions to students in the school building and, as needed, to those who are homebound
  • Collaborate with IEP teams to support educational and functional outcomes
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress; adjust interventions as needed
  • Document sessions and communications according to school and regulatory standards
