We're partnering with a growing, project-based organization seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to stabilize accounting operations, improve the month-end close process, and partner closely with executive leadership.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant who enjoys stepping into evolving environments, building structure, and making an immediate impact.

We're looking for professionals who enjoy stepping into organizations during periods of growth or change. Candidates with experience in project accounting, job costing, multi-entity accounting, process improvements, or accounting clean-up projects are highly encouraged to apply.
This opportunity is ideal for someone open to contract-to-hire who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and partnering closely with finance leadership.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process for multiple business entities
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Review financial results and ensure accurate GAAP reporting
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger activities
- Support project accounting, job costing, and billing processes
- Partner with operations to resolve accounting and billing issues
- Assist with payroll accounting and month-end payroll reconciliations
- Support annual audits and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting workflows
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant background
- Experience leading month-end close
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Hands-on GAAP accounting knowledge
- Project-based, construction, manufacturing, or service industry experience preferred
- QuickBooks and advanced Excel experience
- Strong ownership mentality with the ability to work independently
