Job Title: Accounting Specialist (AP/AR) Location: Milwaukie, OR Salary Range: $27-$33.65 per hour DOE Employment Type: Temp to Hire (3-6 months contract then permanent), Fully Onsite, Full Time Our client is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk for their office in Milwaukie, OR. The ideal candidate should have excellent accounting and communication skills, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and experience in billing coordination. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities:

The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
- Initiate and maintain contact with clients to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment issues.
- Review billing statements and accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement terms when necessary.
- Generate collection reports and provide regular updates on accounts receivable status.
- Processing and reviewing invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of invoices.
- Reconciling vendor statements and maintaining vendor files.
- Provide assistance with vendor inquiries, prepare and process weekly check runs, and provide support to other accounting functions as required.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, assisting with month-end close, and accruals.
- 5+ years of experience with AR/AP and/or just AP required.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to billing and AP is a plus.
