Litigation Attorney
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in Medical Malpractice Defense to handle complex litigation, prepare cases for trial, and represent physicians in deposition and defense matters.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage medical malpractice cases from inception through trial/arbitration preparation (excluding first-chair trial and arbitration presentations).
Draft pleadings, motions, and prepare/respond to written discovery while developing litigation and investigation strategies.
Attend court appearances, represent physicians in deposition-only matters, and assist with trial preparation.
Collaborate with trial attorneys and Claims Specialists on defense strategy, case preparation, and litigation reporting.
Respond to Claims Department hotline inquiries, ensure compliance with Defense Attorney Guidelines, and mentor junior attorneys.
Qualifications:
J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in California.
3-6 years of medical malpractice litigation experience.
Strong ability to work independently and develop effective defense strategies.
Proven leadership, mentoring, training, and team-building skills.
