Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to perform a variety of operations assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures. In this role, you will work from assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to assemble drawers, chassis, enclosures, and racks.
This position involves complex assignments where judgment and initiative are required to resolve problems and make recommendations. You will determine and/or follow methods and sequences of operations to perform hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling on assembly units.
Shift & Compensation Options
Please indicate your preference when applying:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Pay Rate: $18.27/hr
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM | Pay Rate: $20.10/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Set up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.
- Document test results and maintain logs or records denoting malfunctions.
- Perform repair work and other duties as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 6+ months of production experience in mechanical assembly.
- Technical Skills: Ability to work from established drawings; experience in soldering, wire-wrapping, and cable harnessing.
- Tools: Proficiency using hand tools and testing equipment.
- Core Skills: Strong reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
