Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacist opportunity is available in Hatch, NM, to provide temporary coverage on August 6 and 7. This per diem role is ideal for experienced pharmacists seeking short-term assignments in an independent retail pharmacy setting. The pharmacy dispenses approximately 170–200 prescriptions daily, supported by experienced pharmacy technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily dispensing operations ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Verify prescriptions and prepare medications for patient pickup
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and staff to maintain smooth workflow
Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico pharmacist license in good standing
- Previous retail or independent pharmacy experience preferred
- Comfortable managing a daily prescription volume up to 200
- Experience with Rx30 pharmacy system is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service
Schedule:
- August 6 and 7, 2026
- 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM each day
