Outpatient Pharmacist - Cooperstown, NY

An opportunity is available for a dedicated pharmacist to provide part-time float coverage across three outpatient retail pharmacy locations in upstate New York. This contract role involves supporting pharmacy operations by covering shifts during vacation and sick leave times, with the potential for increased hours for the right candidate.

Location Overview:

• Cooperstown: Primary location; Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM; approx. 1,100 prescriptions weekly; staffed by two pharmacists daily; no sterile compounding or chemotherapy; offers Meds to Beds and immunization services.
• Oneonta: Similar to Cooperstown with higher prescription volume; Monday-Friday plus Saturday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM; faster-paced environment.
• Delhi: Comparable setting and hours to Cooperstown; Monday-Friday; retail outpatient pharmacy.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service in a retail outpatient setting.
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, maintaining high volume dispensing standards.
• Support Meds to Beds programs and immunization delivery.
• Float between Cooperstown, Oneonta, and Delhi locations as needed.
• Collaborate with pharmacy and hospital teams using PioneerRx and EPIC systems.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active New York State pharmacist license in good standing.
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy; high-volume dispensing preferred.
• Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy management system and EPIC EMR system is advantageous.
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Comfortable with occasional Saturday shifts at Oneonta.
• Strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Flexibility to work part-time with potential to increase to full-time hours.
