Special Education Teacher in Whitehall, PA

• Elementary Autistic Support Teacher
• Middle School Learning Support Teacher
• Four High School Learning Support Teachers

Key qualifications:

• Current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate required by the start date (Emergency Permits sponsored if needed)
• Experience or strong interest in working with students with special needs
• Adaptability to different age groups (elementary, middle, or high school)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to foster positive and inclusive classroom communities

Role responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet diverse learner needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Incorporate differentiated instruction, behavioral supports, and assistive technology as appropriate
• Advocate for student success and inclusion within the school community

Scheduling details:

• 35 hours/week, contract runs from August 24, 2026 to June 10, 2027
• Elementary hours: 8:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
• Middle school hours: 7:15 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
• High school hours: 7:13 a.m. – 2:43 p.m.
