Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current California SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong collaboration skills—able to work effectively with educators, families, and other professionals
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students with communication disorders
- Provide direct therapy to students, both individual and group, as outlined in IEPs
- Track progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families regarding speech-language concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Educate school community and advocate for students’ communication needs
- Respond flexibly to changing caseloads and school site assignments as needed
