Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid and active Connecticut School Psychologist license (required)
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience in the school setting strongly preferred
- Excellent assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Proficient in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Position Details:
- Contract assignments, 35 hours per week
- Locations: Bristol Central High School (August 27, 2026 – March 2027) and West Bristol School (October 20, 2026 – January 18, 2027)
- Provide comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, report writing, and delivery of evidence-based interventions
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
- Assist in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral plans
- Serve as a vital resource during Student Study Team and Response to Intervention meetings
- Respond to crisis situations and provide short-term counseling as needed
