Job Description
Step into a dynamic environment supporting students as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in Connecticut for the upcoming fall. Three contract positions are available, each serving a unique school setting and age group, offering the chance to make meaningful progress with students during critical phases of their development. Assignments range from late August through late November, with a steady weekly schedule of 35 hours.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Connecticut SLP-CCC license
- Prior experience in a school setting (elementary, PreK, or middle school) preferred
- Comfortable working onsite in educational environments
- Ability to collaborate closely with educators, families, and IEP teams
- Strong organizational skills to balance caseload and documentation
- Effective communication and rapport-building talents with children
- Commitment to evidence-based clinical practices in speech and language services
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct direct therapy sessions with assigned student groups
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Monitor student progress and maintain timely, thorough reports
- Advise teachers and families on strategies to support communication needs
- Serve as a resource for students’ language development throughout the assignment
