LHH is seeking an experienced Controller for a 3-4 month contract assignment with a growing international organization in Plano, TX. This hands-on role will support the accounting team during a critical period by overseeing financial reporting, month-end close, compliance, and key accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned accounting leader who can quickly step in, maintain financial integrity, and partner effectively with both domestic and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain the integrity of financial records while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Review and analyze Cost of Sales (COS) accruals by evaluating trends and reconciling accruals to vendor invoices.
- Prepare and review monthly revenue accrual journal entries and summarize revenue activity to support finance leadership.
- Investigate and resolve variances between billed revenue and accrued revenue.
- Review Balance Sheet reconciliations and Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, year-to-date, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations and coordinate with international offices to maintain consistency in financial reporting.
- Manage foreign currency revaluations and ensure proper accounting for international transactions.
- Partner with operational teams to improve accounting processes and ensure financial data is accurately captured.
- Support the annual audit by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
- Evaluate and strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting procedures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team while supporting day-to-day operations.
- Perform additional projects and financial analysis as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA preferred; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller responsibilities.
- Experience working in an international, for-profit organization with overseas corporate headquarters is strongly preferred.
