We are seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to drive the development of innovative products from concept through production. This role focuses on research, product design, prototyping, testing, technical documentation, design validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to bring new technologies and products to market. The ideal candidate is a self-driven engineer with strong analytical skills, product development experience, and proficiency in engineering design tools.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
Design, prototype, and test new products, systems, and components.
Conduct research on emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Perform market research to identify product opportunities and industry needs.
Plan, execute, and document engineering experiments.
Develop CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Analyze test results and improve designs based on performance requirements.
Ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional teams during product development.
Troubleshoot engineering issues and implement effective solutions.
Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative technologies.
Support new product development initiatives.
Assist with technical proposals, grant writing, and business development activities.
Manage multiple engineering projects independently.
Qualifications and Certifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, research, or design engineering.
Experience designing products from concept through production.
Strong CAD experience (SolidWorks or equivalent).
Experience with engineering analysis and testing.
Knowledge of product validation and prototype development.
Strong technical documentation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple engineering projects independently.
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering.
Experience with MATLAB or similar engineering software.
Experience supporting proposal development or technical grant writing.
