School Psychologist | Lamy, New Mexico

Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting children and youth who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing as a school-based psychologist in New Mexico. This on-site, contract position covers a split assignment between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, shaping student outcomes from August 3rd through June 4th, 2027. Your expertise will make a difference in students’ lives, from birth through age 21, using your assessment, advocacy, and counseling skills to foster inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and offer recommendations tailored to diverse student needs
• Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver direct and consultative psychological services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Facilitate social-emotional and behavioral interventions, providing counseling and support to students, families, and staff
• Monitor student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Provide crisis intervention and consult with educators and parents to promote best practices in supporting student well-being

Qualifications:

• Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Experience working within school environments, particularly with students with disabilities or special needs
• Familiarity with American Sign Language (preferred), or willingness to collaborate with interpreters
• Strong assessment, consultation, and advocacy skills
• Ability to travel between Santa Fe and Albuquerque on a regular basis
