Special Education Teacher - Denver, Colorado

A full-time contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to teach in a moderate to severe classroom at an elementary school near Denver, CO. What You’ll Bring:

• Current and active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education certification
• Previous experience supporting students with moderate to severe needs, particularly at the elementary level
• Strong understanding of IEP development, individualized instruction, and progress monitoring
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to partner with parents, staff, and related service providers
• Flexibility and commitment to fostering a positive, adaptive classroom environment
• Ability to perform all duties onsite during regular school hours from August 7, 2026, to May 28, 2027

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students in a moderate to severe elementary classroom
• Assess student abilities and track progress towards educational goals as defined by IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to integrate strategies and interventions
• Create a safe, compassionate, and engaging classroom for diverse learners
• Communicate regularly with families and maintain accurate, confidential student records
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary team discussions
