This contract opportunity is ideal for an SLP ready to make an immediate impact, providing essential communication support to students in a dynamic special education environment. You’ll work 20 hours per week on-site, splitting your time across two schools just outside the Canby area, serving around 25 students in a specialized communication classroom program.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Valid state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status accepted
  • Previous school-based experience is preferred, but strong CFYs are encouraged to apply
  • Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students with diverse communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
  • Provide direct therapy services, adapting activities to students’ goals in the communication classroom
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate session notes, progress reports, and required documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
