An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to make a meaningful impact in elementary education settings. This full-time, contract role will support two elementary schools and one private school student in the Cartersville, GA area, stepping in during a maternity leave with potential for extension. The position runs from November 2nd through January 29th, with a possible extension through February 26th.

We are seeking candidates with a passion for supporting students’ functional abilities and promoting their academic success through effective therapy services.

Qualifications:

  • Current, active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Georgia
  • Prior experience as a school-based OT is preferred
  • Solid understanding of pediatric occupational therapy strategies, documentation requirements, and IEP processes
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with education professionals and families
  • Dedication to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled OT services to students at two elementary schools and one private school student
  • Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to support students’ academic participation and access
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate progress to parents and school teams
  • Manage a dynamic caseload; adapt intervention strategies as needed
