School Psychologist | Chesapeake, Virginia

Step into a vital role supporting the academic and emotional growth of students ranging from elementary through high school levels. This contract opportunity spans the academic year from August 2026 to June 2027 and is located near Chesapeake, VA. With a weekly commitment of 35-37.5 hours, you’ll make a real impact by providing expert psychological services and supporting positive educational outcomes.

Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
• Previous experience serving students at the elementary, middle, and/or high school level
• Proficient with psychoeducational assessments and report writing
• Experience participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage diverse caseloads
• VOCO (virtual/remote) experience is a strong plus, as virtual roles may be considered if onsite positions remain unfilled
• Flexibility and openness regarding caseload preferences are appreciated—please share your preference if applicable

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations
• Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings
• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student development
• Offer actionable recommendations promoting student success and well-being
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies
