Bring your expertise as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist to students across a supportive educational community near Bessemer, AL! Multiple opportunities are available for passionate SLPs with a drive to make a meaningful impact during the 2026-2027 academic year.

These roles are full-time with a consistent 37.5-hour workweek, servicing a caseload of approximately 60 students. You’ll collaborate on site at one of the following placements:

  • Pinson Valley High School (full time)
  • McAdory Elementary/McCalla Elementary (2 days/3 days)
  • Hueytown Middle School/Lipscomb Elementary (3 days/2 days)

What You’ll Need:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist certification in Alabama
  • SLP Educator certification for Alabama schools
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage diverse caseloads and interact with students, staff, and families professionally

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting evaluations and delivering speech and language services to assigned students
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintaining precise, timely documentation following school and state guidelines
  • Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to optimize student outcomes
  • Providing guidance and support to classroom teams and families
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
