Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety protocols.
Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing with accuracy and attention to detail.
Perform clerical tasks such as maintaining accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing.
Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times, promoting a positive experience for patients and staff.
Coordinate front-desk or lobby duties as needed, assisting with patient check-in and overall flow of the clinical environment.
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures to build trust and confidence during interactions.
Required Skills
Proven phlebotomy skills, including experience in pediatric and geriatric blood collection.
Strong customer service ability to create a comfortable experience for patients.
Excellent data entry and keyboarding skills to maintain accurate records.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a clinical setting.
Attention to detail with a focus on process excellence and confidentiality.
Additional Skills & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Minimum of 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience is required; one year or more is preferred.
Flexible availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtimes as needed.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite; commuting time should ideally be within 20-25 minutes.
Must be punctual, dependable, and able to stay for entire scheduled shifts; excessive absenteeism or tardiness will impact employment.
